Cambridge SoundWorks offers multiple six-piece surround sound speaker packages. Their entry-level HT55 system is also their most compact, so if you've got very little space with which to set up a 5.1 home theater, you will appreciate the sound you get from the five MC55 satellite speakers which each feature just a single 3½ inch precision driver. Bass is supplied by the BassCube 105 downward-firing 10 inch 75 watt powered subwoofer. The step-up HT105 package steps up to two-way MC105 satellites with ¾ inch anodized aluminum dome tweeter and 3½ inch midrange. The HT305 system uses three-driver MC305 speakers with 1 inch aluminum dome tweeter and Neodymium magnet and dual 4 inch molded-composite diaphragm bass/midrange drivers for the front left, center channel, and front right speakers, and a pair of S205 switchable dipole/bipole rear surrounds with 4 inch and 2½ inch full-range drivers within a semi-circular enclosure. The HT305-SE jumps up to the P205 10 inch 200 watt powered sub for much more powerful deep bass response. The MC630HD speakers each feature a 25mm aluminum dome tweeter and dual 4 inch injection molded copolymer midranges. The tall and slim P300HD 300 watt powered subwoofer uses six high-excursion 6½ inch drivers, three mounted on each side of the enclosure, virtually eliminating distortion from vibrations. |
If you want to set up 7.1 surround sound, you will also want to go ahead and purchase two more of the matching satellite speakers. |
