The four two-way satellite speakers of the new JBL Cinema 300 package each feature a 1 inch titanium-laminate dome tweeter for crystal clear high frequencies and a 3 inch Polyplas driver for the midrange. To ensure the clearest possible dialogue, the center channel speaker adds a second midrange in MTM (midrange-tweeter-midrange) configuration.

All five of the four taller satellites and the center channel speaker on the step-up Cinema 500 system feature the same tweeter as the 300 system, but with dual midranges for fuller sound.

Low-frequency bass effects are supplied by the 8-inch, 150-watt down-firing omni-directional powered subwoofer.
